Strategic Aims
The coronavirus has dramatically affected the education and skills sector but demonstrates resilience and continues to evolve and present opportunities. Over the next three years, VTCT will focus on three areas where we can make a real and positive impact on the sector: supporting recovery; driving growth and leading technical education.
“Leading, Growing, Supporting”, our strategic plan and vision, sets out VTCT’s ambition and strategic intent for the next four years. We must transform how we support learning and assessment in education and skills for our learners, centres and long-term sustainability. Our vision and strategy looks for us to continue to support our learners, apprentices and centres in the post-pandemic recovery phase. However, the most significant thread of our activity in the medium term is now very much about driving growth. We will extend our reach to new learners by continually diversifying our current apprenticeship offer, working in new sectors such as logistics, early years education and health and social care, and championing T-Levels and higher-level qualifications.
By supporting individuals and businesses with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications to work successfully, we aim to provide aspiration, security, and opportunity for all who come into contact with our charitable organisation.
Our Values
VTCT’s core values, as produced collaboratively by staff, are:
· Trust me to run with it: giving freedom, empowerment and ownership to get a great job done.
· Together we talk, listen and lead: acting with courage and openness to create shared solutions.
· We grow great people: achieving success by valuing, supporting and investing in colleagues and customers.
· What have we done today to make us feel proud: innovating and improving through passion and relationships.
· Together we complete the puzzle: reaching out across boundaries to support and collaborate.
· Our community: welcoming, creative and vibrant, achieving great things for our customers and beneficiaries.
